Produced only in selected vintages, the Borgo Sugame Chianti Classico Riserva is sourced primarily from fruit grown on an extremely, old vines parcel in Sugame's estate vineyard, which produces some of the most concentrated, extracted Sangiovese to be found in the Chianti Classico region. The Sugame Riserva is a monumental example of the quality potential for 100% Sangiovese based wines produced without new, French oak barrel treatment and other manipulation in the cellar. Sugame's Chianti Classico Riserva is a long-lived wine that will easily evolve over a two decade time span.
